Before Sunday’s basketball game, Coach Yogi Woods gathered the junior varsity at Lambuth University. Watch out for 73 on the other team, he said. He did not mean the player’s number. He meant his age.

WAUGANAUKEE, MN—On the surface, Daryl Hegge seems to be a typical 15-year-old boy. An avid trivia buff and amateur model-rocket hobbyist, he enjoys pizza parties, after-school activities like yearbook and drama club, participating in the junior-varsity cross-country team, and listening to the music of his favorite pop stars.

It was only a tradition: a friendly pre-dawn breakfast hosted by the varsity cheerleaders, but a grand jury indictment says something went horribly wrong. Rather than being driven to an area restaurant, the junior cheerleaders were taken to a private home where, bound and blindfolded, they were pushed into a swimming pool.

Arsene Wenger's junior varsity squad met up with Wigan Athletic at the Emirates tonight, with none of the starters from the side that saw a 2-1 result against Manchester United on the weekend.

Ken Mink, a 73-year-old full-time student, scored two points Monday night in Roane State Community College's victory over King College's junior varsity. Mink entered the game with about 16 minutes left in the game and attempted one shot in about three minutes. Seven minutes later, he went back in the game, was fouled and made two free throws.
