Beyonce found it intimidating singing in front of Etta James

Beyonce gives a good performance in the new biopic "Cadillac Records", where she plays tortured songstress Etta James, but plays it a little too safe. Where is the raw abandon of Halle Berry in "Monster's Ball" or the down home soul of Jennifer Hudson in "Dreamgirls"? Could driving in the slow lane cost Ms. Knowles her Oscar nod?

Beyonce Knowles, who stars as the fast living Etta James in the new cinema release, ‘Cadillac Records’, confesses in an interview with ‘Elle’ that marriage to Jay Z is a "power struggle".

Cadillac Records is a thoroughly entertaining vehicle that charts the beginning and end of the legendary Chess Record label. Outstanding music by Chess recording artists Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Chuck Berry, Howlin’ Wolf and Etta James provides the soundtrack, played with gusto by a stellar team of actors.
